Real Estate Filing Changes

Please be reminded that as of May 1, 2014, LTSA’s Electronic Services will no longer be accessible via BC OnLine.

Provided you use Dye & Durham for your search and registration needs, no action is required. Dye & Durham will continue to handle your documentation in the normal manner, including disbursing Property Transfer Tax on your behalf.

If you currently pay your own PTT, you will be required to file a new PTT Payment Authorization with myLTSA. Once you register your new authorization form, you will need to go to “Property Transfer Tax Account Management” tab and select “Bank Accounts” under myLTSA and update the account Status to “external”.

“External status permits any user in your firm or any user in another firm [Dye & Durham] specifically authorized in section J of the PTT form, to submit a PTT form which specifies PTT payment from this account.” (LTSA, myLTSA Guide)

This will allow Dye & Durham to submit your documents in the normal course.

If you have any questions, please contact Dye & Durham’s Real Estate Support Services team at [email protected] or 604.257.1810.
