LITIGATION REMINDERS:

When submitting a financial statement, the court requires an original plus three copies.

When filing a Certificate of Pending Litigation, please note that the body of the form used to read “subject to Rule 60(22) of the Supreme Court Rules”.  Due to rule changes, these are now required to read “subject to Rule 60(41) of the Supreme Court Rules”.  CPLs quoting the old Rule will be rejected.

All consent orders require a Requisition (Form 56) to be filed with it (original plus one (1) copy).

Don’t forget that a backing sheet is required to be attached to ALL orders and defaults.

The Court will not stamp copies of orders, please only send in the original order for processing.

Vancouver Trial Division will only accept the following documents for filing at the counter: Trial Certificates, Jury Notices and Application materials set for the next day.  All other documents will be submitted to the registry and will be returned within 2 – 3 days depending on the volume at the registry.

ETRAY™ REMINDERS:

Due to the fact that Small Claims registries are not yet e-filing equipped, all certified documents (certificates of service, I do certify, affidavits, etc.) intended for small claims court can not be submitted electronically.  These documents must be submitted as original documents only, with original signatures.
