On October 26, 2008, BC Registry Services plans to introduce Name Requests Online, which will replace the online business name application service currently available through BC OnLine.  Name Requests Online will provide an improved user interface and enhanced functionality over the existing application.  Although the new service will initially be limited to BC OnLine account holders, Name Requests Online will eventually provide an online facility for the public to submit name requests and pay the required fee by credit card.

In addition to allowing online submission of name approval requests for credit card customers, the Name Requests Online system has built in edits and validations that will help:

Ø       reduce the number of name rejections;

Ø       reduce the number of telephone calls;

Ø       reduce turnaround times; and

Ø       facilitate implementation of the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA).

BC Registry Services, with assistance from Dye & Durham, our preferred service provider, is providing an online overview and demonstration of Name Requests Online and we invite you to attend the session.  The presentation will cover the following topics:

Ø       a discussion of the overall Name Requests Online project;

Ø       highlights of the changes from the existing online application; and

Ø       features of Name Requests Online.

If you wish to attend this online presentation, please confirm your attendance before 4:30 p.m. on October 21, 2008.  There is no charge to attend.
