Subject: Business Corporations Act Certificate and Certified Copy New Notification Option
BC Registry Services will be implementing an upgrade to the Corporate Online application in the evening of June 24, 2014. This upgrade will provide the business client with a new email option for notification of certificates and certified documents for most transactions.
The email certificate will have the words ‘ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATE’ printed on the bottom left corner of the certificate and will also contain the red seal for printing purposes. Attached is a summary of the transactions which will have the new email option, along with a sample package of documents for an incorporation using the email option.
Once implemented, only one notification method (email or paper copies either through pick up or mail) will be available. BC Registry Services will ensure that clients are instructed to keep a copy of their paper or email documents. The documentation cannot be requested to be resent at a later date.
