Happy Canada Day – Canada’s 150th Anniversary

June 30, 2017

Happy Canada Day!

On July 1, 1867, the Dominion of Canada was officially born. Representatives from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Province of Canada (which became Ontario and Quebec) worked together with British Parliament for three years to build a new country. The Fathers of Confederation had a vision of building a “powerful, united, wealthy and free country that spanned a continent.” In 2017, on its 150th anniversary, that vision continues to ring true, as Canada is viewed as one of the best places to live in the world.

In 1874, just seven years after Confederation, another “Dominion” was born – the Dominion Blank Form Company (which later became Dye & Durham Corporation). Since its inception, Dye & Durham has served the legal, business, government and public communities across Canada and worldwide. While it began as a legal form business, the company now provides software and data services that support searching, processing, filing and registration of legal and business information.

Canada has grown and evolved over 150 years – the same can be said for Dye & Durham. What has remained constant is the company’s goal of improving the quality of life for our legal and professional customers and helping them succeed.

Dye & Durham wishes everyone a safe and Happy Canada Day! Thanks everyone for their continued support. Much like creating the best country in the world, it’s a constant process that has been 150 years in the making.
