Next month, the Vancouver Association of Law Libraries is hosting a seminar on Finding Those Who Don’t Want to Be Found Using Social Media and Other Cyber Tools.
Presenter Julie Clegg of Toddington International will share “resources, tips and techniques that will enhance your research skills.” Clegg presented the same program at this year’s Special Libraries Association (SLA) Conference, and according to SLA, it was one of the most talked about sessions of the conference, with attendees raving:
- “@annenb: Session on Finding Those who Don’t Want to Be Found was awesome & terrifying from privacy perspective. Best session in years. #SLAtalk
- @leighmonty: Julie Clegg on SM forensics was high value. Unaware about crimes committed in virtual environments / online assault previously #SLAtalk
- @KnowledgeLinking: Julie Clegg session had WOW factor for me because she did it all in real time, showing us how to use Soc Med to find people.#slatalk”
The seminar takes place over the lunch hour on Tuesday, November 18 at the Shangri-La Hotel. The cost is $46 for VALL members or $65 for non-members. Online registration is available for an additional $2. More details are available on the VALL website.
