Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, so it is fitting that the Canadian Centre for Elder Law (CCEL) has announced that it will host the 2012 Canadian/International Conference on Elder Law in Vancouver this November 16-17.
The conference theme is “Advocacy and Aging: From Storytelling to Systemic Change”.
There will be a world study group taking place before the conference, on November 15. The conference programme and location details have yet to be finalized.
Established in 2003, the CCEL’s purpose is “to advance an understanding of law and aging issues, especially elder abuse.” For details on the conference, visit www.bcli.org/news/events/conferences.
