As reported by Victoria’s Times Colonist, the oldest practicing lawyer, Constance Isherwood, was celebrated by an honorary degree presented by UBC.
Isherwood’s honorary doctorate of laws degree was provided by UBC, the same law school in which she obtained her original law degree, 64 years later.
Isherwood still operates her firm, Holmes and Isherwood, alongside her husband. The firm opened its doors in 1964 and is located on Fort street in Victoria. Isherwood focuses her efforts on “general law, including arranging everything from mortgages and wills to adoptions and separations.” The staff at Dye & Durham congratulate this remarkable woman, and are thrilled to have the pleasure of being her information and legal support service provider.
