Nominations are now being accepted for the 2012 UBC Law Alumni Achievement Awards, which recognize the accomplishments of outstanding UBC Law Alumni.
Alumni are awarded in four categories: the Lifetime Achievement Award; the Alumni Award of Distinction; the Alumni Award for Research; and the Outstanding Young Alumna/Alumnus Award.
Previous recipients include John-Paul Boyd, author of the BC Family Law Resource Blog (Outstanding Young Alumnus – 2008); the Honourable Frank Iacobucci, former SCC judge (Lifetime Achievement Award – 2005); Dr. Janis Sarra, author of many respected texts on Canadian corporate law (Alumni Award for Research – 2007); and Leonard T. Doust, Commissioner of the Public Commission on Legal Aid (Alumni Award of Distinction – 2008).
