UVic Law has a new Dean. Professor Jeremy Webber begins his 5-year tem as Dean of UVic’s law school as of July 1, 2013.
Professor Webber is an internationally recognized scholar, with a concentration in cultural diversity, constitutional theory and indigenous rights. He also has extensive administrative experience, as he was Dean of Law at the University of Sydney and before that he was the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at McGill Law School.
Professor Webber has been at UVic Law since 2002, taking a leading role in the development of a Graduate Program in Law and Society and serving as its second Director and most recently serving as the Director of the Consortium on Democratic Constitutionalism. He also held the Canada Research Chair in Law and Society.
