In August 2015, Grant McLaney, Dye & Durham’s In-House Counsel & Manager of Real Estate Support Services was unanimously elected as President of the British Columbia Association of Professional Registry Agents (“BCAPRA”).
BCAPRA is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers in the registry profession. McLaney began his term of presidency in August 2015 with an option to be re-elected in August 2016. McLaney was formally the organization’s Secretary; he and Debbie Larson, Dye & Durham’s Director of Search and Registration Services, are now in reversed roles. Larson was unanimously selected as new Secretary.
BCAPRA has been in existence for over 11 years since its inception in 2004. The organization meets quarterly via teleconference and is currently working on a Code of Conduct.
Benefits of becoming a member of BCAPRA include:
- “a convenient, one-stop web-based source of information,
- timely registry news updates on the web site,
- representation on government committees, and
