BC Supreme Court Chief Justice Bauman recently issued a new Practice Direction as well as a new Administrative Notice, both effective November 1.

Last week the Practice Direction, PD-28 – Chambers Practice, was issued. PD-28 is designed to implement certain administrative procedures intended to allow chambers lists to be managed more efficiently in advance of hearings as well as in the courtroom.

This week Chief Justice Bauman issued the Administrative Notice, AN-7 – Cover Page Requirements. AN-7 is designed to assist registry staff in distinguish one black binder from the next black binder by requiring cover pages on written briefs filed with the registry.
