New Access to Justice Resources

November 7, 2011

Two new legal aid/access to justice resources to share today:

We Need Legal Aid
The Canadian Bar Association – BC Branch has launched a public education campaign for additional legal aid funding in BC, called We Need Legal Aid.

The campaign’s website features information and statistics on BC’s legal aid challenges, videos of first-person accounts, and legal aid-related news. The public as well as members of the legal community are encouraged to engage in the campaign by sharing the link to WeNeedLegalAid.com, visiting its Facebook page, and following @weneedlegalaid on Twitter.

Access Pro Bono
Access Pro Bono (the merger of Pro Bono Law of BC and Access Justice) recently relaunched its website, and it focuses on the free legal services the organization offers. The new site includes lots of information on how to prepare for a legal aid appointment and resources for the public, lawyers, and volunteers. Details of Access Pro Bono’s various programs are also available.
