Law Society Launches Speakers Bureau

April 23, 2012

The Law Society of BC has launched a Speakers Bureau to make it easier for members of the public and the legal profession to request LSBC speakers.

The Speakers Bureau, which is part of the LSBC website, includes biographies of all available speakers and examples of speaking topics of interest to the general public (how to get the most out of your lawyer, problems with your lawyer’s fees, paralegals as providers of legal services, and access to legal services, to name just a few) and topics of interest to the profession (including Division 7/Trust Accounting rule interpretation, compliance audits, finding resources on the LSBC website, and managing the risk of practice, and many other topics).

The site also includes a speaker request form and advises that requests should be made a minimum of four weeks ahead in advance.

The Bureau was launched as part of the Society’s support of Law Week, which ran from April 15-22, 2012.
