Courthouse Libraries BC Debuts Criminal Law Practice Portal

January 14, 2013

Courthouse Libraries BC recently announced the launch of its Criminal Law Practice Portal. Joining five other practice portals (Civil Litigation, Family Law, Personal Injury, Practice Management & Technology  and Wills & Estates), the Criminal Law Practice Portal is “designed to address the information needs of the criminal practitioner community”.

It includes recent news, blog posts, and a “curated resources” section that helps users find up-to-date editions of core texts, as well as three new tools: hearing lists that bring daily court hearings for all levels of court and all locations together in one place; rangefindr, a new, intuitive criminal sentencing quantum tool recently added to the Reading Room, along with a short training video on how to use the service; and a downloadable accredited CPD study kit.

The portal was developed in consultation with lawyers and judges across the province. Read all about the new Criminal Law Practice Portal at The Stream.
