BCCLA Celebrates 50th Anniversary

May 28, 2012

The BC Civil Liberties Association will soon be celebrating a major milestone – 50 years – with a Golden Anniversary Gala and Liberty Awards Dinner held on June 2.

The Gala takes place June 2 at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel and includes a west coast cuisine dinner with Canadian wines, and three distinguished speakers: John Cruickshank, publisher of the Toronto Star, Clayton Ruby C.M., a prominent human rights lawyer, and the Right Honourable Kim Campbell P.C., C.C., Q.C., former Prime Minister of Canada.

Also part of the organization’s 50th anniversary celebrations are a speaker symposium and AGM and a day-long CPD-eligible course, The Law Protecting Liberty: What You Need to Know.
