BC Law Students Challenge Each Other This Movember

November 7, 2014

BC’s three law schools — UBC, UVic, and TRU — have challenged each other this Movember, an annual mustache-growing event to raise funds for men’s health awareness and research.

The TRU Society of Law Students remarked,

“It’s that time of year again! McLachlin’s Moustachioed Men are busy growing their Movember Mustache’s for cancer research! In the spirit of the cause, TRU will be competing with UBC and UVic. Support of this fantastic cause (and a chance to prove we have the best mustached men in the west) would be greatly appreciated”.

The UVic Law Students’ Society reminded participants that

“Donations help improve the lives of men by going towards prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues. … Although there is a “competition”, remember that everyone wins when health issues are addressed.”

As of this writing, UBC Law is in the lead with $1942 in donations, followed by TRU at $930. UVic Law comes in third at $190.
