A roundup of BC law school news today – first, building news.
- It was announced on Tuesday that Thompson Rivers University would receive up to $7.4 million from the province to complete Phase 2 of renovations (interior upgrades) to the Old Main building, which will be the eventual home of TRU’s faculty of law. Construction is scheduled to be complete by September 2013.
- ITC Construction recently won the Vancouver Regional Construction Association’s Silver Award of Excellence for their work on UBC Law’s LEED-certified Allard Hall.

- Adjunct UVic Law professor Michael Manson, a leading Canadian authority on patent law, was appointed a Judge of the Federal Court.
- UBC Law professor Catherine Dauvergne, an expert on refugee and immigration law, was named one of four Canadian scholars to receive the $225,000 Trudeau fellowship
