B.C. Appoints New Provincial Court Judge

A new Provincial Court Judge, Leonard Marchand, has been appointed to the Provincial Court in Kamloops to, “ensure that the court is equipped to manage caseload pressures and access to justice”, Attorney General and Minister of Justice Suzanne Anton announced on August 2, 2013. Marchand was appointed to replace a judge who was appointed to the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Marchand has experience in both criminal and civil law, although his practice concentrated more on civil law. He also has done exceptional work in the area of Aboriginal law. Marchand is  a partner at Kamloops firm Fulton and Company. He begins his appointment to the Provincial Court on September 3, 2013.
