Clicklaw, BC’s legal information, education, and help online resource recently announced the commencement of Uncontested Divorce Order Application Clinics.
The clinics plan to aid Temporary Foreign Workers in completion of their uncontested divorce order, as well as in becoming a permanent resident of Canada. The clinic will walk users through the eight steps necessary for divorce order completion, as well as provide guidance in bringing children from their native countries to Canada. Clinic support is provided in English, Cantonese and Tagalog/Filipino.
Appointments are one hour in length, cost $25 and will be held at the Justice Education Society at the Provincial Law Courts (Room 260, 800 Hornby Street, Vancouver).
The event is hosted by the Amici Curaie Paralegal Programme of the BCPA. The program is “designed to help the public who need help in drafting applications and pleadings in civil and family matters.”
Appointments for June 20 are now being booked. Contact [email protected] or 778-322-2839 for a Saturday, 2 or 3 p.m. time slot; appointment required.
