The Ministry of Justice has announced that nominations are now being accepted for 2014 Queen’s Counsel candidates.
The Queen’s Counsel (QC) designation recognizes “exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession.” The distinction is only available to 7% of the legal profession.
Nominations are confidential and can be made by anyone other than the candidate themselves or members of their immediate family. All nominations must be completed online, with a signed consent form faxed or emailed to the AG. See the Queen’s Counsel Nomination Process webpage for more information.
Nominations will be accepted until 4:30 pm on Friday, October 10, 2014. Appointees are typically named in December.
